Logbook
noting:
Last Friday I
uploaded the system of the Mac in the lab and downloaded the Xcode to the Mac.
I read some
articles about collision warning system. Here are some notes.

I found a website named “How To Make iPhone Apps With No Programming Experience”. On this website, there are some video introducing how to develop the apple app without programming experience. Figure 1 shows the website.
I learned the first 6 tutorials and tried to build my own app but failed.
I built in the Mac computer as the picture showing:
As I was trying to modify the code, the technician came and announced the end of that day.
Comments:
At the
very beginning, I didn’t have a Mac, so I have to use the Mac in our university
lab. In the first semester of final year I went to lab nearly two days a week. Focusing
on background research. At that time I thought about using radar to enhance the
accuracy of my product. Unfortunately, technicians told me radar is not allowed
in any Final Year Project. From then on, I decided using image processing only.
In the
first three weeks, I was more focusing on safety distance, and a little bit
excited about using Xcode to develop an iPhone app. I
found a webpage on Youtube “How to make apple app with no programming
experience”. To be honest, as an
electrical engineering, I am afraid of programming. When I learn C or C++ in
the second year, I was struggled. Even though that time was “terrible”, I still
believe learning programming language is just like learning a language like
English. What I need to do is keep on practicing, trying. Maybe I can’t become
a smart man who is very smart in programming like Bill Gates, but be able to
develop some functional software is enough for me. Back to that video tutorial.
I think the author Chris is very kind, he share those good and useful videos on
the internet. This let me have some experience and happiness of really use the
internet and sharing information to each other. That’s what I think a real
internet should be used for.
